Celtic Art Katrine Celtic Knotwork & Zoomorphic Detail Plain Topped Pewter Sgian Dubh

This is a beautifully handmade traditional Sgian Dubh. The Sgian Dubh's hand polished pewter mounts, which we make ourselves, feature zoomorphic design with a choice of pewter emblem in the handle; Masonic (shown), Celtic Knotwork or Thistle symbol. Each hand polished pewter mount is electroplated with palladium, a member of the platinum group of metals, which gives lasting shine and durability. The pewter mounts are set on both ends of the Sgian Dubh's handle which holds the polished stainless steel blade (blade is approx. 87mm in length). The Sgian Dubh handle is made from real wood effect resin. We handmake the Sgian Dubh scabbard from wood, and bind it in soft black leather. The Sgian Dubh's scabbard is then completed with the zoomorphic design pewter mounts. The scabbard grips the polished stainless steel blade with an elegantly reassuring grip. Total length is approx. 18.5cm (7 ½”) long. This dress Sgian Dubh is supplied in a quality Celtic Art presentation box and is the perfect finishing touch to your highland dress outfit, and will suitably become an heirloom to treasure.
